The significance of connection in this world is important, but the answer lies in our power to reconnect when things get tough. In our families, in our relationships, in our teams, the capacity to reconnect and repair is the foundation to the strongest and most resilient relationships. Now, more than ever, the mission of reconnecting a disconnected world is where our most significant resources should be directed. Then, and only then will we be able to serve those we lead and love.

Do you have students that love the arts? We can use art based strategies to develop and empower the social emotional well-being of 2e learners. We believe that emotional regulation through the arts can afford gifted children strategies for coping with their fears and anxieties. We propose that by providing gifted children the opportunity to explore their fears and anxieties through art making processes, they will be learning a tool that will allow them to cope with these fears and anxieties.

Cognitive studies show that strong mental math ability leads to a much stronger number sense and comfort in working with numbers. The small-group and whole class games shared in this presentation, designed with specific math outcomes in mind, will give your Grade 4-8 students a fun way to practice and build these foundations. Join Gael James, Outreach Manager for the Canadian charity JUMP Math, as she shares these engaging activities that will build both numeracy and confidence in your students. Participants will leave with a selections of easily modifiable games to use in their classrooms right away.
